SUP YOGA

What is SUP Yoga?

Standup paddleboard yoga (or SUP yoga, as it’s known to its devotees) is asana practiced on 10 to 12-foot-long boards in the most serene of settings: an ocean bay, a glassy lake, even a slow-moving river.

Meet our Instructor

Marissa’s passion for yoga and surfing started about nine years ago. After her first surf lesson in Hawaii, she knew it was love at first paddle. Shortly after moving to Santa Cruz 5 years ago she began teaching yoga. From that point forward she conducted beach yoga classes and became inspired to take yoga to the next level and decided to bring it on to the water.

Her Flow yoga classes are dynamic, fun and energetic while her Yin classes are relaxing, grounding and meditative. No matter what your level of flexibility is, there is something in her classes for everyone. Modifications allow the beginner or experienced practitioner options to advance each posture or scale it back. Join Marissa this summer for an exciting new Stand up Paddle board Yoga experience located in the heart of the beautiful Capitola Village out of Capitola Surf and Paddle. See you on the water!
